Windows XP Dialer

Close all open programmes on your computer and make sure that you are seeing your Desktop

1. Double click on My Computer
2. Double click on Control Panel
3. Click on Network and Internet Connections

4. Click on Network Connections

5. Click on Create a new connection

6. Click on Next

7. Select the first option: Connect to the Internet. Click Next

8. Select the option Set up my connection manually. Click Next

9. Select the option Connect using a dial-up modem. Click Next

10. Type the name Digital Connection.
Click Next

11. Type the phone number ‘2235432' and click Next

12. Select the option ‘Anyone's use'. Click Next

13. Type your username and password in the spaces provided. Retype your password to conform it. Your username is the first part of your email address, e.g. if your email address is username@Guyana.net.gy then your username is username. Click Next

14. Ensure that the option ‘Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and click Finish . You should now see an icon labelled Shortcut to Digital Connection on your Desktop.

Your computer will then dial-up to GuyanaNet. Your username and password will be verified, and you will be logged-on to GuyanaNet. You can tell that you are connected if you can see this icon appearing in the lower right hand corner of your screen
