Call Waiting

V.92 modems provides call-waiting support. For call waiting to be possible, both the ISP and customer's computer must be V.92 compatible. Our ISP supports both V.92 modems and modem-on-hold (MoH). To use the modem-on-hold feature, the customer needs to activate call waiting on their telephone line and to install the MoH software for their V.92 modem. With these two requirements in place, with incoming calls while you are already online, a pop-up will appear with a box that lets you place your Internet connection on hold and either take the incoming call, ignore it, or disconnect from the Internet.

How to set up Modem On Hold (Internet Call Waiting)

(1) Verify you have call waiting enabled on your phone line. Please contact GTT for more information.

(2) Verify your modem is a V.92 modem, please consult your manufacturer guide.

(3) Obtain Modem On Hold Software from your manufacturer site, CD-ROM or check our download section for generic software.

(4) Install Software

(5) Please remember to consult your modem manual for additional information
